Welcome to the Health Services site. It is our goal and mission to serve School Nurses, school districts, Administrators and staff, students, and parents in the ESU 10 governing area. Providing a safe and healthy environment for students is our mission. This might include adaptation of the school environment for children with acute or chronic illness. If you need further assistance, please contact our Administrator, Dr. Wayne Bell.
SCHOOL HEALTH COORDINATOR
 Kathy Gosch, RN, C works part-time as School Health Coordinator. She is generally in the ESU 10 offices on Thursdays, but can be reached daily by phone (237-5927) or email kgosch@esu10.org. Ms. Gosch has been involved in school health for over 25 years. She has served the National Association of School Nurses on their Board of Dirctors and as Secretary/Treasurer. She is the current President of the Nebraska School Nurses Association and was Nebraska's School Nurse of the Year for 2003.
School Nurses
School Nursing is a nursing specialty, just like pediatric nursing or surgical nursing. School Nurses practice under provessional "Standards of Shcool Nursing Practice" that have been developed by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). School Nurses are accountable to practice in accordance with federal and state rules and regulations. School Nurses advocate for children's health and safety withing the educational setting.

Administrators
The Health Services Department provides information for Administrators that will support them and their school nurse. Supervising a school nurse can offer a unique opportunity to make a difference in learning by offering a safe and healty environment for students.
